The city streets are filled with people, noises, lights and cars almost every hour of the day… ALMOST. There is a special time where the city is quiet and the sidewalks most peaceful. This time is sunrise. A quiet we are all too familiar with now in the wake of COVID-19 used to be rare, sought out. Today the streets are bare at many hours and the hustle I thought I had had enough of, I miss everyday. Working to find a new normal, I take my daily walks with my dog at sunrise, a time of day that the shortage of people doesn’t seem wrong or feel lonely. Sunrise is peaceful, hopeful and comforting.
